Jumbo Shells Mac and Cheese
Air Fryer Shrimp Jumbo Shells Mac and Cheese (Crispy Top, Creamy Inside) – Listen…this is not your average mac and cheese.

This is the kind of dish where the top gets golden and crispy, the inside stays creamy and cheesy, and every bite has shrimp, sauce, and flavor packed into it.
If you’re looking for something that feels indulgent but still easy enough to make at home—this is it.
🧄 Ingredient Breakdown (Flavor First)
Shrimp: Quick-cooking and juicy, shrimp adds that rich, slightly sweet seafood flavor that pairs perfectly with cheese.

Olive Oil + Butter Combo: Using both gives you the best of both worlds:
- Olive oil for flavor and sautéing
- Butter for richness and that classic mac and cheese taste
Garlic + Tomato Paste: This combo builds a deep flavor base. The garlic adds aroma, while the tomato paste adds richness and slight tang.
Evaporated Milk: Keeps the sauce smooth and creamy without being too heavy. It’s the reason your mac and cheese won’t feel greasy.

Cheese Blend
Mozzarella = melt
Provolone = flavor
Together = perfect bite

🚀 Tips to Make It Even Better
- Toast the panko slightly before adding for extra crunch
- Don’t skip the pasta water—it helps the sauce cling better
- Use freshly shredded cheese if possible (melts smoother)
- Use an air fryer-safe baking dish or pan, not the basket alone.
- If the top starts browning too quickly, loosely cover with foil or lower the heat.
- Add a splash of pasta water or milk before reheating leftovers to bring back the creaminess.
